Chris and his classmate, Amanda, receiving the Community Service Award which was given "for significant contributions to the betterment of the community through service learning projects". Both Chris and Amanda did the bulk of their rotations at the Community Health Center and have accepted postions there as well.
Chris was asked to say a few words after he received his award. He thanked Dave Keahey, his Clinical Associate, who has taken care of underprivileged patients at the Community Health Centers for overs 20 years. He also thanked his precepting physician, Dr. Carlos Guerra, who was Chris's preceptor for nearly 5 months at Central City CHC.
The Proud Papa thanking those who supported him through school just after he received his diploma. Henry definitely stole the show as Chris took this opportunity to introduce him to his classmates and friends.

Congratulations! AAAHHHH the start of a new part of life. New baby and a job...hmmm.... I can't wait for that whole job thing. Henry is SO BEAUTIFUL! I can't belive how tiny and perfect he is. You guys make cute babies.

Congratulations on two wonderful, special accomplishments. I'm so proud of your graduation - kind of feel like it's one of my own children who has done so well. Way to go Chris. And congratulations on little Henry. He's a doll! And he was even born on my birthday! Makes him even more special. I can hardly wait to meet him in person.

Congrats to you both. Henry is adorable. It is such an amazing experience. So Chris do I get to call you Dr. Hyer? What a great accomplishment. We need to hang out...it has been way too long...but now I have the rambunctious toddler. Just you wait!!! But yes it is so fun too!

Congrats on your big day! What an amazing accomplishment! I know from experience that grad school comes with lots of sacrifices, but is so well worth it in the end! And little Henry arrived just in time to be the most perfect graduation present you could ever hope for! Congrats again! That baby is too cute.
